A walk in Madrid

Dear Family and Friends,

Chuck and I spent today on our own made up walking tour of Madrid.

We started our tour at Plaza Puerta del Sol.  Clarke and Brenda took us there last night.  What a lively place.

This is the fountain in the middle of the huge plaza.

This lady is grinding an organ without a little monkey.

This guy is hurriedly putting out his illegal "knock-off " Prada purses.  He wasn't in business very long before the police ran him off.

We then walked to the area near the train station.

One of the things I love about this city is the hundreds of out door sitting areas.  They are everywhere!

Another thing I love about Madrid is the beautiful architecture and the wonderful narrow streets.

It reminds me a lot of Paris.

A beautiful park.

And lots of tourist junk treasures.

Chuck was colorful enough to sell in his Panama hat and Spain Football shirt.

A cool life-size display outside a tourist shop.

One of Madrid's double decked tour buses.

We LOVE this city!!

Now I have to go soak my puppies!

Love,
Nancy
