Dear Family and Friends,
Today Chuck and I left Gijon by 9:00am. This was good for us because we have really become accustomed to sleeping in on this trip. We like to wake up, have coffee in our room and check our email, etc. It is easy for the time to get away from us.
We had to fill up our car today for the second time since we got it. This time I made a picture of the amount we bought and the cost.
We bought a total of 43 liters of diesel (which is about 11 gallons) and paid 60 Euros which is about 78 Dollars. Which comes to a little over $7.00 per gallon. Whew! In Ecuador our Puff Puff runs on diesel and we are paying $1.03 per gallon. It is expensive to drive here. Yet, there seems to be a lot of cars on the roads.
Here are a couple of pictures I took today......
Chuck checking out some old stone carvings at an outdoor museum in A Coruna.
And a great picture taken along the way.
Oh, and here is our driving map from today.
We will be here for a couple of nights. A full day of sightseeing ahead of us tomorrow.
Love,
Nancy
