World's Largest Buffalo

Dear Family and Friends,

When traveling through North Dakota, one has to take advantage of any sites offered.  This is because the distance until the next site is miles and miles away.

Our very first site was at the North Dakota Welcome Center in Fargo.  While there we saw the wood chipper that was used in the making of the movie Fargo.  If you saw and remember the movie this will mean something to you.  If not skip to buffalo picture.

The next site, many miles later, in Jamestown was the world's largest buffalo.

Here is Matt posing with the buffalo so that you can get an idea of how big he is.

Excitment beyond words.

There was a herd of live buffalo in the area but we could not see a single one.

The advice was to only look from the fence, not go walking behind the fence to find them.

This sign is all we needed to convince us to stay put.

Oh the wonders of traveling through North Dakota.

On the next post I will share more about the exciting things to see and do in the upper mid west.

Love,
Nancy
