Matt's Vacation

Dear Family and Friends,

I have been away from this blog for several months  This is because of two reasons: 1. Traveling and away from the internet and 2. A severe inner ear inflammation.

Now it is catch up time.

We see that our son Matt has a nice vacation every year  This year was an extra special vacation. We went to Japan. We flew over and took a cruise back across the Pacific to Vancouver, WA.

Here is Matt, pleased as punch to be going to Japan.

The reason we took him to Tokyo, Japan is because he really likes Japanese anime. We spent a whole week getting that itch scratched.

When we arrived in Tokyo, Chuck and I were jet lagged and extremely tired. Matt, on the other hand, was ready to go since he had slept for 9 hours on the way over.

Chuck had made a list of things that Matt might want to do while visiting there. Matt's first choice was to go to the Marvel - Age of Heroes exhibit.

The next morning we headed out.  Matt thought we should walk to the exhibit so we could get some exercise.

Chuck downloaded a map on his tablet.  It was about a mile and a half.  So out we went.

Here is Chuck checking the map to make sure we were going the right direction.

We played "follow the leader"

We finally arrived at the tallest building in Tokyo where the exhibit was being held on the next to the top floor.

If I told you that Matt had a good time, that would be an understatement. He was over the moon.  Here are some pictures to show you.

After viewing the exhibit, we went to the roof to have a look at Tokyo from above.

Day one in Tokyo was a huge success.

Love,
Nancy
