Zhangjiajie National Forest Park, China

Dear Family and Friends,

On day two, we hiked through the Zhangjiajie National Forest Park.

It is a beautiful hike along a small stream running through these extremely tall peaks.

When we saw this couple posing for their wedding picture, our guide told us it is a favorite place for Chinese people to have their wedding pictures taken. So I took one.

The scenery was beautiful.

And looking up at the surrounding peaks was awesome.

Chuck crossing the stream on a wooden planked foot bridge.

Another view of the stream and peaks.

We saw these cute monkeys that live there.

We saw these sticks placed in the cracks in the rock.  Our guide told us that the Chinese people think if they place a stick to help hold up the rock that it will make their back stronger.

Another view of the peaks from below.

Another wonderful day.

Next post is all about walking on the glass walkway on top of Tianzi mountain.

Love,
Nancy
