We left Auckland in a nice big bus and drove north to the Bay of Islands. It was a four hour scenic trip.
We arrived in Paihia just in time for a late breakfast.
We ate outside overlooking the bay.
And we had the most adorable New Zealander come sit right with us as we ate. Didn't see the sign that said Don't Feed the Dog. (smile)
We walked to our motel and were delighted to find it close to the waterfront and shopping. We spent the afternoon enjoying the beach.
